I purchased a run down flat in South West London as a complete renovation project. I was especially excited to put my knowledge to use on a personal project, but also to expand it by being involved in every aspect of the renovation, learning more about the building processes and restrictions. Within my plans, to name just a few changes I made, the internal walls were repositioned, the plumbing and electrics were replaced, all external windows were refurbished, replacing the glass with thicker glass to improve energy efficiency, sound proofing was installed on the floors and ceilings and underfloor heating included in all tiled rooms. Within the project I designed a new kitchen, two new bathrooms and shelving in the living room. Alongside this I developed FF&E and colour schemes that were characterful, adding individuality to the space while remaining sympathetic to the property. I sold the flat in 2024 and was credited by the new owners on the high standard of the refurbishment.
